Misono was opened in Kobe in 1945.
We realized the partnership with a sake brewer, Fukuju that share the home town with Misono.
Fukuju is a sake brewer that has a history of more than 260 years. They carefully handcraft their sake to pursue the great taste. Their sake is also famous for being served at the Novel Prize dinner in 2012.
Misono select high quality sake from Fukuju's wider variety of sake brands.
Please enjoy the taste of sake that is created with skills nourished by tradition.
The name of Fukuju is inspired from Fukurokuju which is one of the Shichifukujin,
the Japanese Seven Lucky Gods hoping that wealth will be brought to those who will have this sake.
They produce the entire amount of Koji, malted rice by hands even today.
They use a large vat called Koshiki to steam the rice and respect the differences between
batches of sake brewing process.
Their aim is creating the beautifully strong and rich sake by bringing out the flavor of rice.
